Before you start
What you need
Setup takes a few minutes. Have these ready, then keep the connector details at hand.

Checklist
- A Postocial account. New here? Start your free trial.
- At least one social account connected in Postocial, so Claude has somewhere to publish.
- A workspace role that can create posts. Claude works with your permissions.
- A Claude plan that allows custom connectors. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner may need to add or allow it first.

Connector details
Name: Postocial URL: https://app.postocial.com/mcpClaude asks for a name and a server URL. The name is up to you. Leave the OAuth client ID and secret empty.
Setup
Connect Postocial to Claude
You only do this once. After that, Postocial is ready in any chat where you turn it on.

Open Connectors
In Claude, go to Settings > Connectors and choose Add custom connector.

Add the server URL
Name the connector Postocial, paste
https://as the server URL, leave the OAuth client ID and secret empty, and add it.app. postocial. com/ mcp -
Connect and sign in
Click Connect next to Postocial. On the Postocial sign-in page, log in and choose the workspace Claude should use.

Ask Claude
Start a new chat, check that Postocial is turned on in the chat's tools menu, and ask: "Which accounts are connected to my Postocial workspace?"

Abilities and limits
How Claude works with your workspace
Claude reaches Postocial through the MCP server, inside the one workspace you picked at sign-in.
- Reads what you give it in the chat: pasted text, attached files and your project knowledge.
- Calls Postocial to list your accounts, draft, schedule and queue posts, add media and read your analytics, and on Premium and higher plans to work in the inbox.
- Shows each Postocial tool it uses in the conversation, so you can see what happened.
- Stays within your role. If you cannot do something in Postocial, Claude cannot either.
Troubleshooting
Fixes for common setup problems
Most issues come down to plan settings, the chosen workspace or a missing time zone.

There is no Add custom connector option
Custom connectors depend on your Claude plan. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner may need to add Postocial for the organization or allow custom connectors.

Claude answers without using Postocial
Open the tools menu in the chat and check that Postocial is on. It also helps to name it: "Use Postocial to list my accounts."

It is connected to the wrong workspace
Disconnect Postocial in Settings > Connectors, click Connect again and choose the right workspace during sign-in.

No accounts come back
Claude only sees accounts connected in the workspace you chose. Connect them in Postocial first, or reconnect and choose the workspace that has them.

Claude says it is not allowed to schedule
Your workspace role limits what the connector can do. Ask a workspace admin to check your role.

The post time is off
Always give a time zone, such as "9 a.m. Eastern". Then open the post on your Postocial calendar to confirm the time.
FAQ
Questions about Postocial in Claude
Claude is made by Anthropic. Postocial is an independent product, not affiliated with Anthropic.
Is the Postocial connector for Claude free?
It costs nothing extra: every Postocial plan includes the MCP server, and you can use it during the free trial. A card is required to start the 7-day free trial. When the trial ends, we charge your card for the plan you picked, unless you cancel before. Any Claude plan you use is billed separately by Anthropic.
Does the connector work in the Claude desktop app?
Yes. Add Postocial in Settings > Connectors on the web or in the desktop app, and you can use it on the web, in the desktop app and in the Claude mobile apps.
Is this the same as adding a Claude API key to Postocial?
No. On Premium and higher plans, you can connect your own OpenAI, Claude, Gemini or DeepSeek key to your Postocial workspace to power AI replies in automations and reply suggestions in the inbox, while the built-in AI writing assistant runs on your plan's AI credits. The connector works the other way around: Claude uses Postocial from your chat.
Can I keep Claude from publishing without my review?
Yes. Ask for drafts instead of scheduled posts, then schedule them yourself in Postocial. Posts Claude schedules still wait for approval when your workspace requires it, and your workspace role caps what Claude can do.
Which networks can Claude schedule to?
Claude works with the accounts connected in your Postocial workspace. Postocial publishes to Instagram, Facebook Pages, TikTok, LinkedIn (profiles and pages), YouTube, X (with your own X API key), Threads, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Bluesky, Mastodon, Reddit, Tumblr and Telegram. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest posts need an image or video: Claude can attach one from your media library or add one from a public link. Check the media in Postocial before the post goes out.
What does Claude see from my workspace?
What the Postocial tools return while it works, such as your account names, posts, media and analytics and, on Premium and higher plans, the contacts and conversations it reads. It stays in the workspace you chose and within your role.
How do I disconnect Postocial from Claude?
Go to Settings > Connectors in Claude and disconnect or remove Postocial. Claude can no longer use it, and your drafts and scheduled posts stay in Postocial.
