Two links, two jobs
| Link | What it's for | What your client does | How long it works |
|---|---|---|---|
| Client invite link | Connecting the client's social profiles | Signs in to each network and connects their own profiles | 1 to 180 days, you choose. Optional password. |
| Shared calendar link | Reviewing posts before they go out | Approves or rejects each post | Until the expiry date you set |
Invite a client to connect their accounts
- Create a client invite link. Open Social Accounts, choose INVITE CLIENT TO ADD PROFILE, then GENERATE INVITE.
- Choose how long it works. Set it to stay valid for 1 to 180 days. Pick the shortest time that still gives your client a fair chance to act.
- Add a password if you like. A password is optional. If you set one, share it another way, for example by phone, rather than in the same email as the link.
- Send the link. Send it to the person who manages your client's social accounts.
- Your client connects their profiles. They open the link and sign in to each network themselves. Their passwords never pass through you.
- Group the new accounts. The profiles join your workspace. Put them in a group for that client under Workspace Settings > Groups, so they stay together.
Send posts for approval
- Write the posts. Create the posts as usual, and set the ones that need sign-off to require approval.
- Share the calendar. Open Calendar, choose SHARED CALENDAR, then CREATE SHARED CALENDAR SETUP. Give the link an expiry date that covers the review window.
- Your client reviews. The client opens the link, sees the posts on the calendar and approves or rejects each one.
- Act on the answers. Approved posts are good to go. Edit the rejected ones and ask your client to take another look.
Run client work from one workspace
Each account comes with one workspace, so these are the tools that keep clients apart:
- Groups: put each client's profiles in a group of their own, under Workspace Settings > Groups.
- Tags: tag posts by client or campaign, and filter the calendar to show one client at a time.
- Roles: give teammates the admin, member or viewer role that matches their work, or a custom team role, and choose who can approve posts.
- Plan size: pick a plan with room for every profile you'll connect, your clients' included. Social accounts: 5 on Starter, 10 on Premium, 100 on Agency and no limit on Unlimited.
Habits that keep approvals moving
- Agree on a review deadline, such as two working days before the first post goes out.
- Send one calendar link per review round instead of a message per post.
- Let the link expire soon after the deadline, so old links don't linger.
- Leave buffer time. A rejected post needs time to be fixed and checked again.
Approvals in the API
The Publishing API covers approvals as well as posts, scheduling and media, so you can build reviews into your own tools. API and webhooks guide.
