What counts toward the Pinterest limit
A Pin has two text fields. The title can be up to 100 characters, and the first 40 may be all that shows, so lead with the keyword. The description can be up to 800 characters, but it doesn’t appear in the home or search feeds, so use it for supporting detail rather than your main message.
Alt text has its own budget of 500 characters through the API, and destination links can be up to 2,048 characters. Hashtags are allowed in descriptions and count toward the 800.
